Breed: Tennessee Walking Horse (Registered)
Pride, registered name “Pride’s Working Man” is a registered walking horse with phenomenal blood lines. He is the grandson of Pride of Midnight, Great Grandson of Midnight Son, and has other notable names in his pedigree on both sides. Pride recently retired from Camp Youth Incorporated, and has been a children’s camp horse for the past 10 years. This transformation is quite remarkable, considering his early days were spent as a padded show horse, and scars around his front feet indicate soring in the past. The power of a horse for forgiveness is always so remarkable.
Pride is absolutely stunning. He does have some dental issues; par for the course with his age, so requires softened feed for body condition maintenance. This is his only special need. He is sound, and at camp was always ridden barefoot, with very good hoof condition. Pride is advanced beginner ready, but would definitely be a recommended horse for a young rider getting started. He lights up when he sees children, and truly loves the attention of young humans. He is, however, a big horse who has plenty of speed available to use if you want him to, so he will be fun for adults as well. Pride’s adoption fee is $500.
