Chocktaw is a 15.3hh, 22 year old Tennessee Walking Horse.  He is a gorgeous sorrel and white gelding who suffered unimaginable neglect.

In our five year history, we can count on one hand the number of horses who came to us with a body score of zero–barely clinging to life, solely due to starvation.  Chocktaw is one of these horses.  His first weeks with us he was touch and go, not always able to stand, and terribly weak.  We weren’t sure if he would make it, but he had a strong will to live and he has thrived with normal routine care.

Chocktaw is now a body score of 5 (ideal).  He has had 30 days of groundwork training and is definitely an educated horse.  Chocktaw leads, stalls, ties and bathes.  He stands for the farrier.  He does spook at loud noises, so riding at home or respectful and trained companion would be safer choices for him than trail.  Things like gunshots, will make him jump and run.  He is gorgeous and craves lots of TLC.

Chocktaw is accepting applications now, and his adoption fee is $200.
