Headlining at Total Eclipse of the Horse is TEMPLETON THOMPSON! You can find her songs on million-selling CD’s from country superstars Reba McEntire, Jo Dee Messina and Little Texas. Her song, “Settle Down Cinderella” is featured in the 20th Century Fox Motion Picture, “Dr. Doolittle 3.” Her song, “If I Didn’t Need the Money” was a top-10 single on the Texas Music Charts. Even fellow recording artist Clay Walker is a fan, “A vulnerable, yet believable voice this pure needs to be heard on the radio. Templeton is one of the TRUE undiscovered talents.” Templeton is one of Nashville’s sought-after session vocalists having sung countless demos as well as background vocals for major label artists. She has performed on stage for audiences across the US, in Europe and in Japan. FOOD! Detroit natives Dan and Tonia Gibson, realized that most of their trips back home to Michigan revolved around visiting their favorite restaurants and eating the food they grew up with. At the top of this list was the Detroit Coney dog. While growing up, and then again after having their own children, they would often frequent Lafayette Coney Island after taking in a Red Wings game at the Joe. Ever since they relocated to the Nashville area in 2010, they thought about how they could “Bring the 313 to the 615”, and from that 313 Coney was born.  Step up the food truck for your coney and pop! Hope for Summer at Restoring Hope Church2017/07/18 10:00 - 2017/07/18 14:00

Many children in our area only receive ONE meal a day….and that’s just while they are at school. Since school has dismissed for Summer break, Restoring Hope Church wants to try to help feed as many hungry kids as possible. Hope for Summer was launched to assist in feeding children with a healthy lunch and give them time to play, learn, and meet other kids. Safe Harbor is happy to join Restoring Hope Church in this valuable mission.  Mozart, our outreach mini, will be on site at Hope for Summer to share the love of horses and provide kids the opportunity to meet, hug, and brush him.  For many, this will be their first opportunity to meet a horse! If you are in need of a meal for your kids, feel free to drop them off for the day of fun at Restoring Hope Church.  If you would like to make a food donation for the event, contact Restoring Hope...

The Big Payback 20172017/05/03 00:00 - 2017/05/03 23:59

The Big Payback is Wednesday, May 3 The Big Payback is a community-wide, 24-hour online giving challenge hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. This charitable event will help area nonprofits raise much-needed dollars and bring awareness to pressing needs in our community. In 2017, The Big Payback boasts a brand-new software platform and welcomes back our biggest sponsors for a fourth consecutive year – helping to make Middle Tennessee’s largest day of giving a success. In the past three years, The Big Payback has helped raise more than $6.5 million dollars for nearly 800 local nonprofits – including schools and religious institutions. On Wednesday, May 3rd, let’s show everyone just how generous Middle Tennessee residents are when we support each other. Safe Harbor’s goal for The Big Payback 2017 is to raise $8,000 in 24 hours to create a lifeline for sanctuary animals, which will allow the rescue to respond to pressing emergencies. This emergency allowance will sit outside of operational funds and only tapped into in times of crisis. This lifeline turns a no to a yes, and saves lives of the most...

Volunteer Orientation2017/11/12 13:00 - 2017/11/12 15:00

Join the Safe Harbor team for a prospective volunteer open house! Volunteer orientation is held every 2 to 3 months for individuals who want to learn how to become part of a growing team. We are a 100% volunteer organization, and every helping hand is valued. Come dressed for the weather, with closed toe, farm appropriate shoes.  Orientation takes about 2 hours start to finish, and it is HANDS on.  Yes, you will learn to muck a stall, groom a horse, and do other things that happen day to day in the barn, so please come dressed appropriately, and with an open mind and willingness to get a little dirty. Because we do also discuss policies, orientation is appropriate for ages 12 and up.  *Parents, if you want to volunteer with your children you can bring them to volunteer once you are trained, so you can supervise them at the farm. 3585 Highway 76 Cottontown, TN 37048 Orientation starts promptly at the scheduled time.  Please try to arrive no more than 15 minutes early, and don’t be...
