2017-06-19 - 2017-06-23 All day
Join Safe Harbor for our third annual Summer Camp for kids age 5-15!
NEW FOR 2017 - We've expanded Camp to a FULL DAY format! Drop off is at 9am and pickup at 5pm, so you can go to work while your kids learn about horses, leadership, personal development and more!
WHAT'S THE SAME?: 1:1 Camper to Counselor ratio. Counselor's who are professional horse trainers, teachers, and youth ministers. A fun, SAFE, learning environment! Demonstrations by skilled horsemen and women daily where kids can learn a variety of different disciplines and how they can grow as equestrians. DAILY RIDE TIME.
With the extension to a full day format, each day will include water activities. Campers are encouraged to bring swimwear and a towel. Water activities will include creek play, water balloons, and slip n' slide!
Organic, gluten free snacks provided daily. Lunch is an optional add-on, or your camper can brown bag each day, and enjoy food from home.
Camp horses are available for all riders, but experienced campers are welcome to bring their own horse for the week, and enjoy instruction and bonding time at camp with their personal steed.
Camp is located at the Safe Harbor Training Center, home of the Rogers Group Inc Arena
3585 Highway 76
Cottontown, TN 37048
Parents, Please Note: There are a wide variety of ages and skill levels welcomed at our camp. We do break into groups based on age and ability level, so beginner to experienced riders are welcomed. If your young child is not ready to be away from you for a full day you are welcome to stay for part or all of the day. Drop off is allowed, but we do welcome any and all parents and guardians to stay, assist their child, or observe. If your child is special needs, we can likely accommodate them at camp, too! In prior camps we have worked with ADHD and autistic youth, including non-verbal. We are allergy aware! If food allergies are a concern, just let us know and we can make sure that your child can still enjoy an inclusive environment.
