10th Annual Family Day—November 5 at Harlinsdale Farm

Hayrides, Fishing, Inflatables, Music and More—All for Free

Franklin— Come to The Park at Harlinsdale Farm for the 10th Annual Franklin Parks’ Family Day on November 5. Family Day is a free festival open to the public, and will take place from 10 AM – 2 PM at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm, located at 239 Franklin Road, across the street from The Factory in Historic Franklin.

Franklin Parks’ Family Day offers many opportunities for families to have a great time on this historical farm. The festival features activities like miniature train rides, hay rides, pony rides, and a petting zoo. Festival attendees can also enjoy cane pole fishing in the pond. There will be inflatables, a photo booth, face painting and other farm themed photo opportunities, crafts and games. Artists Kelsey K and Hickory Rose will be performing live! All rides and activities are free to attendees.

Safe Harbor Equine & Livestock Sanctuary will be doing roping and riding demonstrations at the TSC Arena. Safe Harbor will also be doing horse mane and tail braiding demonstrations, hosting corn hole and calf roping games for prizes, and raffles. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet foster horses, sponsor a foster or sanctuary horse, and have a photo opportunity with a “unicorn.”

  • Prospective Volunteer Open House
    14:00 -16:00
    2016.11.12

Come on out and get to know us…and let us get to know you!

Opportunities abound because this rescue is 100% volunteer operated, so we’re all volunteers, just like you!

Join us for 2 hours of meeting the team, meeting the horses, and learning about all the ways to get involved. Orientation is held in Cottontown, but we have foster farms all over Middle Tennessee.

Because orientation is a time when we talk about policies and procedures, opportunities and it is a time for you to get to know us and us to get to know you, it is appropriate for humans age 11 and up. This is an ALL LEVELS open house. Our training coordinator will be on site for our trainer level volunteers to meet and greet with.

To RSVP, please go to the rescue website and complete a volunteer application. We can’t wait to see you!
